Secondly this post made me think and count my blessings Mama OWL - The age of convenience. I can't imagine life without a washing machine!
Lastly a couple of posts on a similar theme Cassandra Parkin - The Part You Throw Away and Trouble Doubled - The end of term art bundle. We're not in the school system yet so I don't have to deal with this, but I remember my own excitement at the end of term, bringing home all the work from the last few months in huge carrier bags. I would like to reassure parents dealing with this at the moment that most of it went in the bin and it has left me with no lasting emotional scars.
