TravelSupermarket have launched a very exciting competition - Kids Capture the Colour. It's a fun challenge for little ones, asking them to take a photograph for each of the following colours - red, blue, green, yellow and white. Harry (4) was lucky enough to receive his very own digital camera to help him enter the competition, and he's been having so much fun using it to take his photographs.
He had never used a camera before and apart from showing him how to use it we didn't give him any help, so these photos are all his own interpretations! Here are the photos which he has chosen to represent each colour:
Green. This was taken on our visit to Tilgate Park this summer. I love all the different shades of green in the photo.
Blue. This was taken at the Findon Sheep Fair, some chickens in a blue cage. If Mia looks a little wary of the chickens she has good reason to, this photo was taken seconds before she poked her finger in the cage and received a little nip from a cross chicken!
White. Also at the Findon Sheep Fair. Unfortunately, Harry neglected to take photos of any actual white sheep!
Red. This is the roof of Harry and Mia's play house. It's a Cars one, hence the Lightning McQueen lightning bolt shaped window. A very vibrant red this one.
Yellow. No, this isn't the best photo, Harry certainly needs a bit more practice when it comes to focus. But I really like this one because it's a picture of something that I made for him and he still enjoys playing with, his felt food sandwich.
Harry really enjoyed taking part in this challenge. He loved being given a colour to go and hunt for, and was so excited to show me the photographs that he had taken.
We received a digital camera from TravelSupermarket to help us to take part in the competition.
